High School Men's Soccer and High School Lacrosse tryouts will be Monday, January 11 at the RCS field. HS Lacrosse will take place 3:30-5 p.m. and HS Men's Soccer 5-6:30 p.m. A valid physical is required. All coaches and players must wear face coverings per NCHSAA policy.
Should there be inclement weather on Friday, remote instruction will proceed. Students are expected to log in and participate as usual on Friday.
RCS Open Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is open! Download an application at www.roxborocs.org/page/enrollment. Completed applications may be returned on Feb. 17 or Feb. 18, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

PARENTS MAY ALSO PICK UP THE 1/4 ZIP PULLOVERS SPECIAL ORDERS.
Bulldog Cards are in and will be available at the PTSO Bulldog Gear Sale on Friday, December 18, from 2 to 4 pm in the Woody Parking Lot. Cards are $10 and are vaild until December 31, 2021. They make great stocking stuffers! Lots of other great gear will be available as well.
Last night the RCS Board of Directors approved the proposal submitted by RCS Administration to wait until Monday, January 11 to return to face-to-face/hybrid instruction. Students will return to classes on January 5, but instruction will be remote only from January 5 to January 8. Students are expected to log in on a daily basis to participate in instruction and complete all assignments.
This adjustment to our reopening after the holiday break will give us an additional week before students return face-to-face. This should help prevent the potential spread of the Covid-19 virus.
January 4 will remain an optional teacher workday.

Mrs. Russ has given credit to every student account that had pre-ordered for December 10-15. No food was to be served between December 15 and January 5.
Google is experiencing problems this morning. This is impacting Gmail and a plethora of other Google products including YouTube. The status of the different products can be seen at https://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en&v=status. NCEdCloud and Canvas are currently still working as expected. It looks like some of the products are starting to work again, but please be aware that there are issues this morning.
Due to RCS transitioning to Plan C (All Remote Instruction) for the remainder of the first semester, all exams will now be given remotely. All students should follow the original exam schedule. Are you a current 10th grader looking to join the program next school year? Join our virtual interest meeting on Thursday, December 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. to learn more! Parents are welcome! RCS Seniors, a representative from Herff Jones will be in the front parking lot, near the front door, on Wednesday, December 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a truck carrying all items listed in the attached flyer. Cash or credit card will be accepted.
You may also pick up a special gift that day.
Remember to order caps and gowns if you haven’t already done so.
And, if you plan to participate in senior activities, please pay the $50 fee by February 1. Money can be turned in to Ms. Pleasant or Mrs. Jill Clayton. An additional $50 is due by April 1 for the Senior Trip.
