Our student spotlights are BACK!
To start off the new year, we are doing something a little different this week. Instead of a middle school and a high school spotlight, we have a group of eighth grade students we want to highlight this week!
Meredith Cates, Macee Bowes, Ella Horner, Leah Griffin, and Lyndley Gentry are exemplary students in and out of the classroom. They all take honors classes and even some high school courses. Outside the classroom, they have shown kindness to others around them. Most of these girls have been friends since the sixth grade and this year they chose to befriend a fellow student, welcoming her into their group.

The middle school girls' soccer workout for tomorrow has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Should my high school student take CP, Honors or AP classes? How should my student best prepare to have the opportunity to take PPC classes? What electives are available for my student? How will the 7-period day affect my/my high schooler's schedule?
These questions and more will be answered in a few weeks at the RCS Curriculum Night. Rising ninth graders are highly encouraged to attend, but rising 10th -12th graders are welcome as well. This is also a great opportunity to meet the high school staff.
Please join us for this pre-registration event Thursday, February 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the RCS multipurpose room.
With freezing temperatures and possible patches of ice on the roads in the morning, we will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow. Please travel safely.
There will be middle school girls' soccer workouts this Saturday, January 20th from 8 - 10 a.m. in the RCS gym. These workouts are voluntary but are highly recommended if you plan to try out. Please bring tennis shoes and shin guards.

Anyone interested in playing high school lacrosse this year, there will be a meeting in the athletic lounge at RCS from 4:00 until about 4:45 p.m. this Thursday. Please plan to come to this meeting if you are interested in playing HS lacrosse this year.

Middle school baseball workouts this week will be on Tuesday & Thursday from 3:30 - 5 p.m. at RCS. Wednesday's workout will be from 3:30 - 5 p.m. at Optimist Park (weather permitting). Anyone interested in playing is encouraged to come. Please make sure to upload a current copy of your sport physical onto Dragonfly to be eligible to participate.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our prospective student/parent night tonight! We got to enjoy performances by our jazz band and our dance students, as well as hear from administration and current students about what makes RCS so amazing! Then prospective students and parents got to walk around and learn about our variety of clubs and electives from teachers and current students! It was a great evening and we hope to see many of you at RCS next year!
Tomorrow is a $2 Jeans Day! Proceeds go to help support field trips!
