Biotech II students in Mrs. Jill Clayton's classes started using the new manikins to practice CPR today. Mrs. Clayton received funding for the manikins through the Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation's Bright Ideas Grant program.

The RCS Basketball Program will host a Student Basketball Tournament Fundraiser on Friday, May 6 after school at RCS. Up to six teams will play a single elimination tournament with games lasting approximately an hour each (two 20-minute running clock halves). Students may organize their own team. Teams can be co-ed and students from any grade, but all team members must be CURRENT RCS students. No more than three boys' varsity basketball players allowed per team. The cost for teams is $10 per player, up to 10 players per team. The cost includes a t-shirt for each player. The first six teams to register claim the spots for the tournament. Spectator admission is $5 per person. Concessions will be available. Email Coach Bettendorf at bettendorfjl@roxborocs.org with questions or to register a team.
The RCS Band has been hard at work this week. They took some time to goof around a bit today, though. We're always #bulldogproud of our musicians!
RCS theater students will present their first-ever student directed show, The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf! on May 6 and 7, at 7 pm nightly. The Bulldog actors will also perform a special show for Bethel Hill Charter School third and fourth graders on May 3 at 9 am. All shows will be in the RCS multipurpose room. Junior Skylar Hawkins and freshman Natalie Camarillo are directing the show.
