Student Spotlights

Introducing the RCS Student Spotlight! Each week, our teachers and staff will choose a student from both high school and middle school who they feel should be highlighted for various reasons!

Middle School

Peighton Reaves

This week’s middle school student spotlight is sixth-grader, Peighton Reaves! Sixth grade math teacher, Judy Clayton said “Her hard work, initiative, kindness, and talent make her a valuable member of the school community. It’s clear that she is a dedicated and talented individual, and it’s great to know that she’s contributing positively to her school as a bulldog.”

Reaves said it feels good to be the spotlight and to hear what her teachers said about her. Her favorite subjects are science and art. Alongside her schoolwork, she loves to dance and play softball.

High School

Brayden Moore

Brayden Moore has been selected for the first high school Student Spotlight. The ninth grade team selected Moore because he is respectful to both teachers and his fellow students, cheerful, pleasant to work with and always willing to help out. Ninth grade world history teacher, Dennis Abline said “There were many names, but Brayden was the one we kept coming back to.” He also stated that “Brayden always has a smile on his face,” and all his teachers can attest to this. He’s also shown a lot of improvement throughout the years since he started RCS in sixth-grade. “[School is] very stressful, so I’m glad they see I’m trying.” Moore said.
