Journalism – now called Communications – at RCS is not just a class. Students in Communications serve as newspaper and on-air reporters, photojournalists, graphic designers and editors. They manage the school Web site and social media outlets. They produce the yearbooks and a literary journal. In this hands-on approach to learning, students build skills in writing for various audiences and purposes. They also become proficient in the use of InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, still photography and video production. Communications is a fast-paced course with little classroom lecture time. From the first day of school until graduation each year, students are busy running RCS Communications.
