Roxboro Community School achieved North Carolina’s Honor School of Excellence distinction for school year 2011-2012. To achieve this, RCS had to meet expected growth and have a 90% or above performance composite.
In 2015 and 2017, Roxboro Community School was given a school performance grade of A+ng. The growth score uses end-of-grade and end-of-course assessment data to measure student growth and the school’s performance on other key academic measures.
In 2010, Roxboro Community School received its AdvancEd accreditation. AdvancED is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential.
