Third-round State Playoff Games
Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16, the RCS soccer team will take on​ Spring Creek High School​at 5 p.m. The softball team will face Lincoln Charter at​ ​5 p.m. ​Both games are away. ​Gooooo Bulldogs!

Drivers Ed

The Drivers Education Workbook session will be​ held​ in the Person High School dining hall June 14-27, from 8 a.m. until noon or noon until 4 p.m.​ daily.​ Students who will​ turn​ 15 years old before March 2018 can sign up for one ​of the sessions​. A sign​-​up sheet will be at the front desk. The cost is $65 per person.

 
Middle School Student Council Meeting
Middle School Student Council will meet Wednesday, May 17, from 3 to 3:30 p.m., in Mrs. Jones’ room.

Send in Box Tops Before End of School​

P​arents, p​lease send all BOX TOPS to school in the next few weeks, before the school year ends. Also, please ask grandparents, family​, and neighbors to clip and save ​Box Tops as well. ​They c​an be saved all summer long and returned to school at the beginning of the next school year. When BOX TOPS are counted, they are submitted to the program organizers where ​RCS’s ​money (​.10 ​cents a box top) accumulates, and twice a year a check is mailed directly to the school.

 
PTSO Lunches

PTSO is offering ​​​Papa John’s pizza, chips and drink on Monday,  May 22. First come, first served. Please bring cash.

Support Ronald McDonald House 
On behalf of the Roxboro American Legion​, please send your aluminum can tabs in to the dining hall​ to support Ronald McDonald House of Durham​. There will be prizes for the most sent in between now and May 19, 2017.​ ​Place t​abs in a sandwich bag along with the student’s name and grade. As soon as all of the tabs have been weighed we will present the prizes.
Eighth Grade Formal
The Eighth Grade Formal will be Friday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the new wing. Tickets are $15 each, and the price includes food, drink and one 8X10 photo of self or group. There will also be door prizes, so students should keep up with their tickets. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, May 3 through Monday, May 8. Attire: Girls must wear a dress or skirt and nice blouse. Boys must wear khakis or dress pants and button-down, collared shirt (tie optional). No shorts are allowed. Contact Mrs. Jones with questions.

Dining Hall Volunteers
Please volunteer in the dining hall Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. through May 19. Any increments of time are appreciated. Contact Mrs. Russ at russbs@roxborocs.org to volunteer.
